This PR reduces the overhead of the
_FP64_CHECK_function by storing the result ofgetenv("FPC_EXPONENT_USAGE")at initialization time and reusing the result within the_FP64_CHECK_function itself. On the NPB3.0-omp-C benchmarks I was able to reduce the CG Class W benchmark execution time from ~17 seconds to ~4 seconds.
