Add Spinner implementation for longer-running operations.
* Moved to all pointer functions, as non-pointers make a copy of the struct and the data in a pointer didn't come with it. * removing debug messages

Release of 2.1.0. This includes a fix for Machine data caching and adding refactored logging to support the Spinner implementation.
