Summary of Changes

Hello @mickqian, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request streamlines the project's directory structure by consolidating all component loader modules into a dedicated subdirectory. This organizational change aims to enhance the clarity and maintainability of the codebase, making it easier for developers to navigate and manage related functionalities.

Highlights

  • Code Refactoring: All component loader files have been moved into a new component_loaders subdirectory to improve code organization and modularity.
  • Import Path Updates: Corresponding import statements in various files have been updated to reflect the new locations of the moved loader modules.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request refactors component loader modules into a component_loaders subdirectory, which is a good organizational change. The import paths in the changed files are correctly updated.

However, this refactoring has introduced a critical bug in python/sglang/multimodal_gen/runtime/loader/component_loader.py. The _ensure_loaders_registered method, responsible for dynamically discovering and registering loaders, has not been updated. It still scans the parent loader directory and will fail to find the moved modules, leading to runtime errors.

To fix this, the method needs to be updated to scan the new component_loaders directory. As this file is not in the diff, I'm providing the suggestion here. Please update _ensure_loaders_registered with the following logic:

    @classmethod
    def _ensure_loaders_registered(cls):
        """
        avoid multiple registration
        """
        if cls._loaders_registered:
            return

        package_dir = os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__), "component_loaders")
        package_name = "sglang.multimodal_gen.runtime.loader.component_loaders"

        for _, name, _ in pkgutil.iter_modules([package_dir]):
            try:
                importlib.import_module(f".{name}", package=package_name)
            except ImportError as e:
                logger.warning(f"Failed to import loader component {name}: {e}")

        cls._loaders_registered = True

This change is necessary for the refactoring to be complete and functional.
